Family Holiday Home

Birdham, West Sussex

Purchased by a British couple currently living in Hong Kong, the property whose brief was to create a ‘British New Hamptons’ style interior that would provide a UK home for the couple, their three children, plus Mother who woud live in the house permanently.

Previously extended and refurbished as a second home, the property lacked soul and warmth. Initially a simple, largely decorative and furnishing project, it quickly became apparent that the US technology based Smart Home system and electrics were badly installed and failing.  Pascoe Interiors called upon the services of their smart home & AV system partners, Newland Solutions, who stripped out and refitted a new system to control the lighting, heating, AV and security – on site or remotely – with equal ease.

Clare Pascoe designed and commissioned several items of furniture, which were beautifully hand made in Sussex.  Where possible British fabrics were used, and any surplus items removed from the property were rehomed or donated; leaving this project as a great example of sustainable interior design.

A more traditional interior that demonstrates the versatility of Pascoe Interiors’ style and ability to deliver a client's brief.  The project also serves as a successful example of liaising with clients electronically to bridge wide geographical distances.
